Information on use for
TREATMENT ❤️
OF HEARTWORM DISEASE

Traditional canine Heartworm treatment can be hard on dogs and in some cases vets advise traditional heartworm treatment may kill the dog. Studies have shown Amber Technology's natural herbal HWF  can help eliminate heartworms slowly over a period of time allowing your dog's own immune system to help eliminate canine heartworm from its body. Because natural HWF works slowly your dog does not need to be confined, unlike traditional heartworm treatment which requires confinement. Using HWF your dog can continue to play as he or she normally would, though do not allow your canine companion to overexert such as racing or breeding, until your dog tests negative for heartworm.  Within weeks, you may notice an increase in energy and decrease in heartworm symptoms such as coughing and weakness. When able, use Vibactra Plus and Hawthorne/Dandelion for even more superior results.Killing heartworms can be dangerous for your dog. Dead worms can clog small blood vessels causing organs to fail making it imperative that your animal be confined to a small space to try and prevent this from happening. Older, sick, or pregnant animals may not be able to tolerate traditional veterinary treatment and some dogs are simply sent home to die without care, as the traditional heartworm medications would kill the dog. This is why the HeartWorm Free remedy was created. HeartWorm Free's slow method of heartworm treatment has its benefits, which allows the dog to recover slowly. HeartWorm Free works well for all dogs, young, elderly, and is safe enough to give to pregnant dogs.
Keep in mind you are working with heartworms. The heart is a vital organ. Whether you use choose to use traditional heartworm treatment or natural heartworm treatment, there are risks. Anytime you work with the heart you take a risk. The heartworms can dislodge and go anywhere in the system. The heart can become weakened from the heartworms. Heartworms can get up to 3 feet long. If a dog is harboring a 3-foot long heartworm the time to rid the body of heartworms can be 36 weeks or longer. The severity of the heartworm infestation and condition of the heart will determine the results with the HeartWorm Free treatment. Amber Tech does NOT guarantee the health of your dog, due to conditions out of Amber Tech's control.
During Heartworm Treatment: The kidneys are very stressed as they work hard to pull the worms through the system. Amber Tech recommends KIDNEY REJUVENATOR in addition to HeartWorm Free to help eliminate and dissolve worms in the blood and keep the kidneys healthy. This aids in helping the dog overcome canine heartworm more quickly and easily and to follow, helps test heartworm negative quicker. It is recommended to use the KIDNEY REJUVENATOR throughout the entire treatment for best results.

201 to 250 lbs. 3.8 mil
251 lbs. & up  4.0 mil Please note:    A syringe is included with each bottle of HeartWorm Free, along with instructions on HWF administration.  HeartWorm Free has a 4 year shelf life.
RECOMMENDED USE*Shake well before each use. Administer appropriate dose in ml's with weight-based chart (above) 2x/day, approximately every 12 hours. HWF is best absorbed in the mouth, so it is recommended to dose directly into the mouth and not be given in food.  Do NOT give on an empty stomach.  Do NOT exceed recommended dose!  Do NOT use in conjunction with a heartworm preventative or flea/tick preventatives, as these things toxify the kidneys, liver, blood and body - which suppresses the immune system and will make your dog take longer to test heartworm negative. NO heartworm preventative is needed while your dog is on HWF.   IMPORTANT: Often dogs with heartworm lose weight as heartworm infestation makes them less hungry and active. Most dogs gain weight while using HeartWorm Free - as the heartworms are killed and the dog becomes more active, their appetite returns.  It is EXTREMELY important to make certain your dog is getting the proper HWF dose, based on their weight. We recommend weighing dogs that are close to the top of their dosage weight range at least once/week and once they reach the next weight level dosage, start them on that proper dosage immediately. Failure to do this can result in a longer treatment time.  Weighing your dog regularly is critical to make sure he or she is getting the proper dose of HWF. Use KIDNEY REJUVENATOR during treatment to keep the kidney's healthy (recommended most if your dog is exhibiting heartworm symptoms).  Once the heartworms die they must dissolve in the blood and work their way through the kidneys and out the urinary tract system.  Many dogs will suffer from weak kidneys during and after treatment, so for optimum results it is recommended to give KIDNEY REJUVENATOR in conjunction with the HWF.
After 9 weeks of HWF treatment, have a veterinarian check-up to ensure there are no microfilaria (have the vet draw blood and check it under a microscope).  IF no microfilaria are present the treatment is working and you can continue with the full course.  IF microfilaria are still present, there is a bigger problem.  The heartworms can huddle together in the heart and form a ball. They can perform somewhat of a shield and continue to lay eggs.  This is an advanced form of heartworms.  You must make a decision with your vet. Using either traditional veterinary treatment or HWF will be dangerous for your dog.  IF continue to use HWF contact Amber Technology for advanced dosing instructions.
After the full course of HWF take your dog back to the veterinarian for another blood draw.  If the veterinarian does not see any live heartworms swimming in the blood you can continue with the next step (in the next paragraph). If the veterinarian does see live heartworms swimming, then there is a need to continue with additional HWF treatment.
Completing the HWF Treatment:  Once your canine has completed the HeartWorm Free treatment continue to give the HWF, but give once a day at 1/2 the normal dose (i.e., if your dog's treatment dose was 2.4 ml's twice/day, give only 1.2 mils once/day for 3 to 4 months).  NO heartworm preventative is needed while your dog is on this dose after completing the HWF treatment. After the first month, start the INTERNAL GOLD DETOX which will last for one month. After the four months, have your dog retested. If your dog has a positive snap test, ask your veterinarian to draw blood and view the blood through a microscope.  If the veterinarian finds live heartworms, continue the HWF treatment.  If the veterinarian does not find live heartworms continue the 1/2 daily dose until the dead heartworms are out of the system and perform a detox using Amber Technology's INTERNAL GOLD DETOX KIT.
Recommended Use for Pregnant Dogs:   HWF is safe to give to pregnant dogs at one-half (1/2) the normal dose while pregnant and then giving the full dose once her puppies are born. This will help prevent her infestation from getting worse while pregnant. Depending on her level of infestation while pregnant, she may need to be treated a little longer than the 4 month cycle, since she would be on 1/2 the normal dose while pregnant.
If your dog is on the HWF longer than 36 weeks, take off for a 3 week break, then continue if needed. Have your dog retested 3 months AFTER you have detoxed the system (using Amber Tech's INTERNAL GOLD DETOX) OR 4 months AFTER treatment is completed.
HeartWorm Free is designed to act SLOWLY to eliminate the need to keep your dog confined. Do not allow breeding, racing, or over exerting. The average time for a dog with a moderate infestation of heartworms is 16 weeks. Depending on the severity of your dog's heartworm infestation, you may need to treat your dog for a longer period of time, especially if your dog has a heavy infestation of heartworms.
Although most dogs recover on the 16 to 24 week course, not all dogs will. A good DIET, moderate exercise and plenty of fluid may increase your pet's odds of overcoming heartworms.
IF your dog continues to cough after 4 weeks of using the HeartWorm Free, please contact Amber Technology. Severe cases that haven't stopped coughing within 4 weeks of treatment may require additional care. ADIZONE can be helpful in more severe cases exhibiting coughing and/or decreased exercise tolerance.

If your dog is not showing symptoms - 16 weeks
Symptomatic dogs (i.e., tires easily, loss of appetite, coughing and swelling) - 24 weeks
Symptomatic longer than 3 months - 26 weeks
Symptomatic longer than 6 months - 36 weeks

Every dog is different and some will respond more readily than others.
Remember, heartworm can get up to 3 feet long. The dog's body has to dissolve all the dead heartworms in order for your dog to test heartworm negative. This is why dogs that test a high positive for heartworm will need a little more treatment time and KIDNEY REJUVENATOR is recommended for  more heavily infested cases.
KIDNEY REJUVENATOR can help your dog eliminate the dead heartworm from the body more quickly.  Dead microfilaria are filtered through the kidneys. A dog's kidneys can become overwhelmed with microfilaria and not eliminate them as quickly as they should.  KIDNEY REJUVENATOR can help cleanse the kidneys making it easier to eliminate the dead microfilaria and in many cases make it easier on the dog, hasten their recovery from heartworm, and help them to test heartworm negative more quickly.
After the heartworms expire, they can stay in the system for a period of time. It is up to the body to dissolve the heartworms and process them through the kidneys and out the urine. If you had your dog tested with dead heartworms in the system, the test will still show a positive result.

PRODUCTS
recommended

  1. HWF – helps rid the body of heartworms in as little as 16 weeks
  2. Kidney Rejuvenator – helps keep the kidneys strong while the kidneys filter the decomposing worms out of the body (Optional. Recommended if your dog is showing symptoms other than coughing, or if the cough does not go away.)
  3. Life Cell Support –  Dogs  test heartworm positive until most, if not all, of the decomposing worm is out of the body. A 12-24 week detox is needed before testing.  This is common in all heartworm treatments. Life Cell Support is added to help detoxify the body of decomposing worms and antigens in order to get a more accurate test result sooner (Optional. This is only used during Step 5A: Detox with HWF and Life Cell Support)
  4. Additional Heart Support: HAWTHORN & DANDELION is a natural organic herbal remedy recommended for keeping the heart strong and healthy. Often times the heartworms can cause heart damage. The intent is to help prevent worms from damaging the heart and to strengthen the walls so they can withstand the length of treatment. It is designed to act as a diuretic and help the kidneys so provide plenty of fluid during treatment. (Optional)
  5. Additional Support for Coughing: ADIZONE. Severe cases that haven't stopped coughing within 4 weeks of treatment may require additional care. ADIZONE can be helpful in more severe cases exhibiting coughing and/or decreased exercise tolerance.

LOW TO MEDIUM POSITIVES
(Scroll down for High Positives)

FIRST 9 WEEKS
Use dosing chart to match your dogs weight to the recommended dose. Administer:

  • 2x/day (morning and evening)
  • for 9 weeks

If using Kidney Rejuvenator, choose dose according to the weight chart

  • 1x/day in evening
  • For remainder of HWF process

AFTER 9 WEEKS
2A: Test for Microfilaria
After nine weeks have your dog tested for microfilaria. This is the test where the vet looks at a sample of the blood under a microscope.
• TEST: NEGATIVE or if microfilaria exist but are all dead, continue to Step 3.
• TEST: POSITIVE for live microfilaria, then continue on to Step 2B.

If your dog is still coughing and showing symptoms after this point, reevaluate. Additional Support for Coughing: ADIZONE. Severe cases that haven't stopped coughing within 4 weeks of treatment may require additional care. ADIZONE can be helpful in more severe cases exhibiting coughing and/or decreased exercise tolerance.

Step 2B
Doubling the Dose
After your dog has tested positive for microfilaria, you need to double the dose. This should be done slowly to avoid any negative reactions from the HWF.
To double the dose, increase HWF in 0.1ml/cc increments every other day. If you notice any negative signs or differences in behavior, then Reduce HWF for one week to last known dose with noadverse reactions. After one week from the reaction, continue increasing the dose by 0.1ml/cc every other day until the dose is doubled. It may be necessary to evaporate the alcohol by mixing with equal amounts of very hot water (110 F- 135F) and then let the mixture cool. This may reduce the effects of alcohol on your dog, which might be the cause of a difference in behavior. Keep your dog on a doubled dose for the remainder of the HWF process. Once the dose has been doubled, continue to Step 2C.

Step 2C
Retesting for Microfilaria
Keep your dog on the doubled dose for six more weeks. Have your dog re-tested for microfilaria. This is the test where the vet looks at a sample of the blood under a microscope.
• If the test is negative (or if microfilaria exist but they are all dead) then continue to Step 3.
• If they tested positive again, repeat this step.

Step 3
Continue HWF
After your dog has tested negative for microfilaria, continue HWF on the current dose for seven more weeks, and then proceed to Step 4.

Step 4
Detox
It is time to put your dog on the HWF detox schedule. This is designed to allow the antigens and the decomposing heartworm material to filter from the blood. This provides a more accurate result and reduces the chance of a false positive due to pieces of a dead worms remaining in the blood.
Determine which detox schedule to put your pet on. To Detox with HWF and Life Cell Support (recommended), continue to Step 5A. If you chose to detox with just HWF continue to Step 5B.
Note: If you are using Kidney Rejuvinator, administer Kidney Rejuvenator one time a day for the duration of the detox.

Step 5A
Detox: HWF & Life Cell Support
HWF detox with Life Cell Support protocol calls for putting your dog on HWF half dose, 1x/day (morning) for 12 weeks. This will prevent your dog from becoming re-infected and will also help rid the body of any living heart worms.
Life Cell Support is used to reduce the amount of time it takes for your dog to complete the detox period from 16 weeks to 12 weeks. Administer Life Cell Support 8 weeks after starting the detox period, and continue on the Life Cell Support for the remainder of the 12 weeks.
After the 12 week detox period, continue on to Step 6A.

Step 5B
Detox without Life Cell Support
The HWF detox protocol without Life Cell Support calls for putting your dog on HWF half dose only one time a day for 16 weeks. This will prevent your dog from becoming re-infected and will also help rid the body of any living heart worms. After following the HWF detox schedule, continue to Step 6A.

Step 6A
Snap Test
After the detox period, take your dog to the vet to have a snap test done.
• If the test comes back negative, continue to Step 7.
• If the test comes back positive, proceed to Step 6B.

Step 6B
Doubling the Dose
If your dog is already on a double dose protocol, please skip this step and proceed to Step 6C.
After your dog has tested positive for Heartworms, you need to double the dose. This should be done slowly to avoid any negative reactions from the HWF. To double the dose, increase the HWF in 0.1ml/cc increments every other day. If you notice any negative signs or differences in behavior, then Reduce HWF for one week to the last known dose which did not have any adverse reactions. Once the dose has been doubled, continue to Step 6C.

Step 6C
Continuing the doubled dose
Continue HWF for nine more weeks. After the nine weeks, proceed to Step 4: Detox.

Step 7
Heartworm Free
Congratulations, your dog is now Heartworm Free. You may now discontinue Amber Technology Products. To help keep your dog free of heartworms, it is recommended to put your dog on a heartworm preventive protocol. Wait three days after discontinuing HWF to put your dog on a traditional heartworm preventive. HWF may be given as a preventive. See above.

Step 2B - Retesting for Microfilaria
Continue on HWF for six more weeks, then retest for microfilaria. This is the test where the vet looks at a sample of the blood under a microscope.
• If the test comes back negative (or if microfilaria exist but they are all dead), then proceed to Step 3.
• If the test comes back positive for microfilaria, repeat this step.

Step 3
Continuing HWF
Continue HWF for nine more weeks. Then proceed to Step 4.

Step 4

Step 5A: DETOX
HWF & Life Cell Support
The HWF detox with Life Cell Support protocol calls for putting your dog on HWF half dose, only one time a day (in the morning) for twelve weeks.

Step 5B – Detox without Life Cell Support
The HWF detox protocol without Life Cell Support calls for putting your dog on HWF half dose only one time a day for 16 weeks. This will prevent your dog from becoming re-infected and will also help rid the body of any living heart worms. After following the HWF detox schedule, continue to Step 6A.

Step 6A - Snap Test
After the detox period, take your dog to the vet to have a snap test.
• If the test comes back negative, proceed to Step 7.
• If the test comes back positive, proceed to Step 6B.

Step 6B - Continuing HWF
Continue HWF for nine more weeks. After nine weeks, restart the HWF detox protocol at Step 4: Detox.
